Martin Sexton

With special guests The Alternate Routes

Saturday, February 2 at 8:00 PM
Tickets: Orchestra $27.50 | Mezzanine $40

(Food and bar service during the show in the Mezzanine. Limited availability.)

Martin Sexton’s fiercely independent spirit has taken him through a musical journey that is completely personal, and filled with performances that soar into the stratosphere of “extraordinary” time and time again. He has been compared to some musical greats, but Martin’s songwriting and sound bear his own indelible stamp. Influenced by rock ‘n’ roll and the vibrant Boston folk scene, he has built his career from busking on the streets and a self-produced cassette “album” that sold 15,000 copies, to winning 1994’s National Academy of Songwriters’ Artist of the Year and sharing the stage with artists like Art Garfunkel, Jackson Browne and John Hiatt. He has continued to tour through the years, and to produce albums that reflect his personal truths that amplify the sound of the ordinary heart.

The Alternate Routes

Tim Warren and Eric Donnelly formed The Alternate Routes in 2002 and in that time they’ve toured nationally, released three studio albums, appeared on national TV and built a solid fan base. Hard to categorize, their music includes tear-jerking ballads, in-your-face rock anthems, bizarre, experimental songs and campfire sing-alongs. The Routes are known for their no-holds-barred, uplifting live show.
